 Dr. Sun received $1,632,209 for an NSF STEM+C award for the project entitled “3D Weather Analysis and Visualization (3D Weather): Promoting Authentic Scientific Practices and Computational Science Literacy (Grades 7-12)”. The project period is January 1, 2020-December 31, 2022. Dr. Sun will serve as PI on this project working with three Co-PIs at MSU (Jamie Dyer, Jonathan G. Harris, Mahnas J. Mohammadi‐Aragh) to develop and implement professional development for secondary science teachers on analyzing and visualizing publicly available large weather data.
