Doctoral Dissertations:

The Doctoral Dissertation Defense must be scheduled at least (2) two weeks prior to the delivery of the dissertation document to the department Graduate Coordinator.

For Spring 2012 Graduation the Dissertation Defense must be completed on, or before February 24, 2012.

Educator of the Year 2011

Dr. Joanne Beriswill was selected as the Mississippi Educational Computing Association (MECA) Educator of the Year at the annual convention.

The award recognizes Dr. Beriswill as an educator who promotes and advances technology in education, shows cutting edge vision, and provides a technology-rich environment for all students.


History and Appreciation of Artcrafts
voted the Most Fun Class

In a recent student poll, Chris Melby-Codling's history and appreciation of artcrafts received the coveted "Most Fun Class" title. In the three-hour credit course, students create works of art through mediums such as abstract multi-media exploration, glass mosaic and ceramics.

Class instructor Melby-Codling said the purpose of the class is to satisfy a fine arts elective for students who have little or no background in art.

The class is very diverse in terms of backgrounds. "I have engineers, biological sciences, agribusiness, animal and dairy science, human sciences, business, and educators.
